Kayak is excited to present an opportunity with a leading mobility company seeking a Local Operations Manager to join their Northern Europe team. This role is based in Amsterdam and spans multiple markets, including the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Ireland, Finland, and Norway. In this position, you’ll bridge the gap between technology and real-world operations, working on initiatives to grow the rider and driver base, improve marketplace efficiency, and enhance the customer experience. This role offers you the chance to lead strategic projects that drive operational excellence across Northern Europe. Using data-driven decision-making and strategic project management, you’ll tackle a variety of initiatives, from expanding the product portfolio beyond UberX to optimizing the airport experience for riders and drivers, launching promotional campaigns, and operationalizing sustainability partnerships.

About this role
- Project Management & Operational Execution: Plan, manage, and execute multiple operational initiatives in a dynamic environment, using strong project management skills and teamwork.
- Data Analytics & Problem Solving: Analyze complex data sets to uncover root causes, develop solutions, and evaluate project success through data modeling and insights from customer feedback and local experiences.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across the organization—including Legal, Product, Marketing, Business Development, and Customer Support—to implement initiatives effectively and meet business goals.
Your profile
- Relevant professional experience, ideally in a role focused on business problem-solving, data analysis, product launches, and project management.
- Strong problem-solving ability, leveraging structured approaches and data insights to solve ambiguous problems.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience working with complex data sets, generating insights, and synthesizing recommendations.
- Strong project and portfolio management skills, able to handle multiple projects and see them through from start to finish.
- A proactive, curious self-starter eager to develop expertise and deliver results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Dutch, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights and effectively collaborate across teams.
- Advanced SQL and data visualization skills (not required initially but expected to learn upon joining).
- Strong business understanding and commercial insight, able to prioritize initiatives based on business benefits and risk.
- Native fluency in Dutch.
